Jeffrey Last of the Public Policy arm of the Alzheimer's Association will explain how the Association is fighting for Alzheimer's researchers at the federal level. William Thies, Ph.D., Sr. Scientist in Residence at the Alzheimer's Association will discuss the Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM).


The presentation will focus on:

  1. The passage and implementation of the National Plan to Address Alzheimer's (NAPA) and how that drives investment in Alzheimer's research
  2. The appropriations landscape
  3. An explanation of the recently introduced Alzheimer's Accountability Act and what it means for Alzheimer's researchers
