Are you passionate about the fight against Alzheimer’s? Do you want to get more involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Libertyville? The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Our success starts with our volunteers – people like you who support the fight against the disease and want to become more involved.
As a volunteer you can help make Walk to End Alzheimer’s a safe, meaningful community event while getting to know others who share your passion for the cause. We have a variety of volunteer positions for those that want to volunteer for just one day or want to get more involved with planning and recruiting participants for the event.
Volunteer Leadership Committee
Committee members are the heart of the event, planning everything from the kickoff to the wrap up. Some members focus on growing the event by recruiting teams and sponsors, others coordinate logistics and some work on promoting the event in the community. There’s a role for everyone!
There are numerous day-of opportunities for individuals and groups, and community service hours are available. These tasks include setup and teardown, registration, greeters, water and route stations, start-and finish-line cheer support, Promise Garden, photographers, refreshments, Champions Club and many more. Day-of Volunteer shifts are from 6:00am - 12:00pm.
