Where is the walk? Did we move?
WE WILL STILL BE IN CENTENNIAL PARK SOUTH AREA, using the entrance we have always used! However, we will now be moving down to the Amphitheater by the water, rather than by Pavilions A/B/C as we have in the past. Below, is a map of the area, with our previous event site marked by the red X and our new site marked by the blue star. Upon entering the park, rather than staying straight as you have in the past, take your second right to get down to the event site.
Where should I park?
Participants in need of handicap parking are welcome to park in the lots noted below by the orange circle. Participants will officially be able to park in the Weather Dependent Lot on-site in Centennial Park. To get to this lot, you will turn in to the Centennial Park South Area and take the first right.
Once that lot is full, the Columbia Presbyterian Church has generously allowed us to use their parking lot, located across from the South Area entrance. All cars must be gone by noon as they are having a large wedding reception starting around 1:00PM. A reminder to be respectful and take all trash and belongings with you, we do not want to lose the ability to use this lot in the future.
How long is the walk? The walk offers two routes, a shorter and longer version. The shorter route is around a mile, the longer route is around Centennial Lake, around 2 miles.
Are dogs welcome? Friendly, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome! We will have a lovely Pet Area sponsored by Right at Home.
I got a call that I am a Champion and to stop by the Champion tent, what is this? Our Champion Tent will have Champion's medals as well as a photo booth and other goodies. Champions are encouraged to stop by at the start of the walk. Team Captains, please stop by the Champions Tent at the end of the Walk to collect medals for your teammates who were unable to attend.
I don't have my shirt yet, when should I expect it to come? If you had registered and raised $100 by August 16th, your shirts are currently in production as of 9/12 and are being shipped. If you registered and raised $100 after August 16th, you will recieve your shirt after walk day.
