News and Announcements

Watch this space to learn about upcoming events and the latest Walk to End Alzheimer's news!

We've seen dramatic growth in team fundraising by connecting Facebook, sharing your fundraising page online, and use of the Walk to End Alzheimer's® mobile app. Starting in 2019, cash and checks received at your local Alzheimer's Association chapter office may take up to three weeks to be reflected in your online fundraising totals. For immediate credit, we encourage teams to download the Walk to End Alzheimer's® mobile app and use the mobile check deposit feature, and continue to make the most of online fundraising resources.

We invite you to keep the momentum going and join us on November 15 for our Wear It Walk DayWear your Walk swag all day long to help us raise awareness in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

*BONUS Walk T-SHIRT PICK UP DAYS*

Haven’t earned your 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-Shirt yet? Each individual who raises $100 will be eligible to receive their Walk T-Shirt and can pick it up at any of our local Alzheimer’s Association offices in Hudson, Canton or Canfield on Wednesday, Nov. 13 between noon and 6:30 p.m.

There’s still time to help us reach our goal:

  • Facebook Fundraisers can motivate more friends to donate quickly on Facebook to earn your shirt! Invite your Facebook friends to support your fundraiser, and they will see updates about your progress as well as from other friends who donate. Already posted to Facebook?  Re-share with a photo from Walk day! Learn how to set it up here.
  • High $5 Challenge: Ask your friends to give you a “High $5” – Text or email five of your friends and ask them to donate $5 to your Walk team page. You can send them a direct link to your page and ask them to pass it along!  Or text 2ENDALZ to 51555 to make a self-donation.
  • Casual for a Cause Day: Have co-workers donate $5 to wear jeans or casual wear for the day. Spice it up by making it a Hat Day, Team Spirit Day, Purple Day, etc. Visit alz.org/casualforcause to learn more or ask about picking up your Casual for a Cause stickers today!

Sample Why I Walk Sign.jpg

Everyone has a reason to end Alzheimer's. Share your story! For every $500 you individually raise, you are eligible to create a custom sign with text and photos to be displayed along the route on Walk day. After the Walk is over, take your sign home with you to remember the day.
