Why We Walk: Every time I visit our skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities or home health and hospice agencies and meet our employees, patients, residents and family members, I think how fortunate we are to have such caring, compassionate and knowledgeable caregivers. So many of our patients and residents, along with their families are living with Alzheimer's or related dementia. The disease is devastating not only to the individual but also to their family. Our knowledge and compassion make a huge impact on the quality of life for each of these individuals. I am proud of your efforts to make a difference in their lives. I am just as proud that our employees go beyond their daily role by joining the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The national walk is an effort that we urge all facilities, agencies and employees to support by committing to the Walk to End Alzheimer's National Team Program. Doing so will not only assist research and support, it will generate pride among your employees that their company is taking a stand and making a commitment for such an important cause.
