Where do the funds go?
All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Do I have to register in order
Yes, we want to know you’re walking with us and need every walker to sign a standard waiver through their official registration. There is no registration fee for Walk. However, we ask every walker to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Registration can be done online or offline via a paper-registration form. A paper registration form can be found on the Triangle Walk home page. Under the big green "Register" button is a link to a paper registration form. Send a signed copy to our Eastern North Carolina office at 5171 Glenwood Avenue Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
Do I need to register my
children for Walk?
Yes, all children must be registered. Parents/guardians can register children online or complete an offline registration form and sign the waiver on behalf of the child.
Does every walker get a
Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt after achieving the fundraising minimum of $100.
How do I get my Event Day
T-Shirt and Wrist Band?
T-shirts and wristbands will be available for pick up the day of the Walk, or T-shirts will be available at our Bank Day (7am- 7pm) on Wednesday, September 13th at the ENC Office. Turn in last-minute donations and get your shirts! Team captains and any Walker is welcome to come hand in money, as well as pick up T-shirts for those who have raised $100 or more. Every Walker including children will be required to be registered and have a wristband.
Bank Days for the Triangle Walk are Sept 1st & Sept. 13th from 7am- 7pm at the Alzheimer’s Association office; 5171 Glenwood Avenue Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
How do I get my offline donations to show up on my personal fundraising Web page?
Donations can be made offline by submitting a check or money order by mail or hand-delivering to the Eastern North Carolina Alzheimer’s Association office; 5171 Glenwood Avenue Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612. Be sure to include your offline donation form, which can be found in your Participant Center or on your fundraising Web page, to make sure you receive credit for the donation. Donations typically take 2 weeks to show up on your Web page, so please include time for processing and handling.
What is the event day schedule?
Registration open at 8:00 am * Live Music all morning* Opening Ceremony starts at 9:30am* Walk begins at 10:00am
Can donations be turned in on Walk day?
Definitely! If you have last-minute donations, bring them to the Walk and head to registration!
Are dogs allowed?
YES! The North Carolina Museum of Art does allow leashed dogs.
Are strollers, bicycles, skates, etc. allowed on Walk day?
We do allow strollers, but for everyone’s safety, we discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear.
What happens if it rains?
Walk is a rain-or-shine event. Check the weather and dress appropriately! September weather in ENC can be warm or cool, sunny or rainy.
Will there be parking?
Yes! We will also have buses available to hop on and off to bring you closer to the Walk location. Handicapped parking spots will be marked accordingly. We highly encourage your team to Carpool as there will also be a NC State Football home game happening after the Walk concludes and expect traffic.
Will there be food?
There will be complimentary refreshments and water stations for walkers on the Walk route.
Will there be first aid?
Yes! There will be a first-aid tent.
How do I get a Promise Garden flower?
On Walk day, you will receive a wristband. Each registered walker with a wristband will receive a Promise Garden flower. Please choose the color that best represents your connection to the disease.

We will post team photos and general event photos on our Triangle Facebook page! Be sure to visit our Facebook page and share, tag, comment on, and like photos! For all social media, be sure to use hashtag #walk2endalz.
We need volunteers! Know anyone who might be interested in helping us on the day of the event?
We need volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, registration, water stops, the Promise Garden, the T-shirt tent and so much more. All interested volunteers should visit our volunteer sign up page for more information about event-day roles and responsibilities.
