Welcome to the Women of Woodside W.O.W. Walkers Team Page.

I want to thank everyone who donated to our team, either directly or through a walker, last year.  Our goal was $30,000 and we came in at approximately $28,450. Quite a feat for a small group of individuals, and a great show of support for all our loved ones living with Alzheimer's or caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's.

We are honored and proud to walk again in 2024 and we ask you to please help us to reach our goal of $10,000 by donating today.  

If you wish to get more involved, join our team and start fundraising among your friends and family, you will be amazed how many people are willing to donate to help find a cure for this disease.  Facebook is an easy and fun way to fundraise for this event and we can walk you through the process if you need help setting up your page.

Why is it so important to give to the Walk to End Alzheimer's?  Here are some reasons:

Worldwide more than 55 million people are living with dementia in the United States, nearly 7 million Americans  have Alzheimer's ..

1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia.  It kills more than Breast Cancer and Prostrate Cancer combined.

Over 11 million people in the US are serving as unpaid caregivers for Alzheimer's patients.

We MUST find a cure to give HOPE to the victims of Alzheimer's and their families. We MUST continue the fight so that one day we can proclaim we have a SURVIVOR of this disease.
