The Alzheimer’s Association is an organization that has deeply impacted my life - personally and professionally. “The Longest Day '' was launched in tandem with the Summer Solstice, the day with the most light, to outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s disease and offer hope to those whose lives are affected by dementia. It is an opportunity to host your own event or activity to raise funds and awareness in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The "Era of Treatment" is upon us. St. Louis remains one of the top global leaders in Alzheimer's disease research with investments over $200 million in grants from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Alzheimer's Association - more than any other city in America!

When we began planning the inaugural event, the world hopefully awaited news of an approved FDA treatment for patients diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s disease. It is humbling to know patients now have a chance to treat dementia symptoms, and more treatments are in the pipeline for approval in the near future.

This year my car enthusiast friends and I invite you to make history while making a difference. Join us for "Alzheimer’s 500" (ALZ 500) at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, IL on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10am-7pm. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Missouri Chapter. You will help accelerate St. Louis' leadership role in solving global health problems stemming from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

How it works?

A group of 10 to 20 drivers will cruise the track during one hour increments, yielding the track to each group that follows. Track time preferences will be prioritized by Patron Driver Experience Partners and top fundraisers.

Below is how you get involved as one of the exclusive teams:

• Commit to lead a Patron Driver Experience or pledge to raise $1,000 as a participant
• Recruit 10-to-20 team members to drive during your designated time slot AND encourage each team member to pledge to raise $1,000 to support the Alzheimer’s Association
• Share ALL event communications, especially safety expectations with team members

Top fundraisers will be celebrated throughout the day and at a Post-Event Reception for all participants. Our mission is urgent, important and we need you.
