I am
hitting the road
to fight Alzheimer's
My Story
I've joined the fight to end Alzheimer's! I'm participating in The Longest Day to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
My journey to raise funds to support Alzheimer's has already started as I prepare for the 2024 Hokahey Motorcycle Challenge. This challenge is organized and presented by Medicine Show LLC and encourages each rider to choose a charity and raise funds prior, during and after the challenge. The challenge is approximately 10,000 miles and must be finished within 20 days of the start. The 2024 challenge starts in Daytona, FL. and ends in Homer, AK. Riders do not know the route before the start and can not use GPS navigation only written directions given at the start and each checkpoint. Riders also must remain on the route and sleep next to their bikes during the challenge, so no hotels. Each rider is equipped with a GPS tracker so the officials can determine whether or not the rider deviated off the route.
The reason I choose the Alzheimer's Association as my fund raiser is due to my dad and aunt having this dreadful disease. This disease has touched so many lives, maybe even yours. But you can help. With your donation families can receive support on their Alzheimer's journey, promising research can advance toward a future without Alzheimer's and lives can - and will - be changed.
Your donation means so much, to myself and to all those affected by the disease. On behalf of more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million caregivers - thank you.
