The walk is just a few months away.we are falling behind in donations. Nothing is too small, every penny counts.
Hopefully by the next update we will have reached our goal.
--10-23-2015-- im excited to say we have gained more team members this year, and have passed our goal of $200. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared our posts. The walk is in the morning, I hope there is a good turn out.
This was the first Thanksgiving since my grandma passed away.
We might have reached our goal, but lets not stop there. We have untill the end of the year to raise as much as we can.
Keep passing this on, not just for me but for my grandma. Thanksgiving and Christmas (mostly Christmas) were her most favorite time of year so what better way to honor her memory.
11/10/14--- we have passed our goal, with help from so many people. But im not going to stop here..we can still raise money till the end of december. I hope my grandma is proud, im doing this to honor her. And try to help fight and be a voice for her, to bring Alzheimer's Awarness to the forefront and get people to understand just how much this disease hurts not Only the people affected by it but also the family members that have to sit by and watch knowing there's nothing they can do about it
8/29/14 My grandmother passed away today. She fought for as long and as hard as she could. Now I am doing this in her memory, this disease took everything from her. I hope we can raise more money than ever imagined so one day we will have a cure. Or atleast a way to slow the process.--
-- I'm walking to support my Grandmother who has Alzhiemer's/Dementia. The last few months things have gotten worse. She is slowly moving to the later stages. My grandmother has taken care of people her whole life. From her brothers and sisters, to her children, foster children, babysitting, and even her grandchildren. To see someone so caring and full of joy slowly forget everything and everyone they once knew. It has to be one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with.
I am also walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R), I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, care and support.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
