“Alzheimer’s is the cleverest thief, because she not only steals from you, but she steals the very thing you need to remember what’s been stolen.” -Jarod Kintz
This year, I will be walking to end Alzheimer's and all other dementias in Charlottesville, Farmville, and on the Eastern Shore. I began participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in 2013 after my grandmother, Dottie, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Unfortunately, the diagnosis process was complicated and took longer than it should have. Her fight was short and she passed away just a year and a half later.
I walk in honor of the 50+ million individuals currently living with Alzheimer's globally as well as for their caregivers and care partners. I walk so that one day walking to #ENDALZ is no longer necessary.
The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. Thank you!
