My team is the Pleasant Mound Memory Makers.  We chose that name because all forms of dementia rob the person of their memories.  We hope by walking we can help contribute to finding a cure for this horrible disease. I have several family members who have/had some form of dementia.  My grandfather, mother and mother-in-law all suffered strokes that led to vascular dementia. My sister and my sister-in-law lost their battle with Alzheimer's and there are several family members in my husband's family that are in various stages.  Please don't think you are not or will not be affected by this disease.  Even if you don't have a family member or friend with Alzheimer's, you more than likely will.  One out of five people will have Alzheimer's.  Please support my walk to help with the research to end Alzheimer's.   Any amount will help me reach my goal of $1,500.  Thank you for joining the movement!
