I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My Dad had Alzheimer's Disease and I saw what a strain it was on my Mother who was his caregiver. She received a lot of help from the Arkansas Alzheimer's Association and we will always be grateful for the help they provided our family. Now, my Husband has the same disease and I wish more than ever that a cure could be found. The spousal support group in Wichita Falls has been invaluable for me. For the Alzheimer's Association to continue to help me and so many other families , they need our financial support. They are offering a lot of online support during the Covid pandemic. Please help them stay in operation. Thank you.
