Mike Rowekamp was my brother-in-law, married to my sister Terse. The photo you see is the last one I took with Mike on one of my visits to see him at The Moments. We went out Dunkin' Doughnuts. MIke always had a big sweet tooth. . After many years of a courageous battle, he lost his fight against Alzheimer's May 2020. Mike was 1 year younger than me! My sister Terese (his wife) started Team Rowekamp quite a few years ago and her family has been walking in the event each year.
This year is a particularly difficult one having just lost Mike. He was such a giving man - and that continued until the end when he donated his brain for further Alzheimer's research. It is even more important for me to help raise money to find a cure for this knowing that not only was Mike affected but also his brother. There is also a chance it could affect Mike and Terese's three daughters or their children - four of my beautiful great nieces and nephews (and another one coming in October). I must do something to help.
Please make a donation to support this worthy cause. And if you aren't able to donate, your moral support is always appreciated. Also, please reach out to me if you would like to join Team Rowekamp - or just register!
