General Information

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Join us at Target Field in Minneapolis for an inspiring event full of hope. It is a great way to honor a loved one and connect with a community of others impacted by this disease.

Registration is free, and fundraising is encouraged. Pre-registration is highly recommended but on-site registration and donation collection will also be available.

When you register, you will be set up with a personal fundraising page that you have the option to share with others. Every registered participant who achieves the fundraising minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer's T-shirt via USPS. To receive a shirt in time for Walk day, participants must raise the T-shirt minimum at least four weeks prior to the event. T-shirts will continued to be mailed out on a rolling basis by our national vendor after Walk day.

Where do the funds go?
All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donations for the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Twin Cities are accepted at any time through 11:59pm on December 31, 2024.

Do I have to register in order to Walk?
Yes, we want to know you're walking with us and we need every participant to sign a standard waiver through their official registration. There is no registration fee for Walk. However, we ask every participant to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer's. Forgot your username or password from last year? Click here to reclaim your password.

Do I need to register my children for Walk?
Yes, children need to be registered as well. Parents/guardians can register children online or complete an offline registration form and sign the required waiver on behalf of the child. Please register each individual with a seperate email address.

Does every participant get a T-shirt?
Every registered participant who achieves the fundraising minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer's T-shirt via USPS. To receive a shirt in time for Walk day, participants must raise the T-shirt minimum at least four weeks prior to the event. T-shirts will continued to be mailed out on a rolling basis by our national vendor after Walk day.

How do I get my offline donations to show up on my personal fundraising web page?
Donations can be made offline by submitting a check or money order by mail or hand-delivering to the local Alzheimer's Association office. Be sure to include your offline donation form, which can be found in your Participant Center or on your fundraising web page, to make sure you receive credit for the donation. Donations typically take one to two weeks to show up on your web page. Don't want to wait? You can also deposit checks directly to your Walk page from the Walk to End Alzheimer's mobile app for iPhone or Android.

Are there events prior to Walk day?
Yes! We have two Kickoff events this year. These events are hosted to bring the community together, learn about the impact of the disease, and how to engage with the Walk to End Alzheimer's. If you have started your fundraising, please utilize these events to turn your donations in prior to Walk day.

Check back here soon for more details on our 2024 Kickoff events!

You and your team select where you will meet the morning of the Walk. Some suggestions we have are: Gate 29, Gate 34, next to the baseball glove, or at the Alzheimer's Association tent.

We do allow strollers, but for everyone's safety, we discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear.

Can I bring my pet to the Walk?
We respectfully request that you leave your pets at home for the morning. Service animals are welcome.

What happens if it rains?
Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update our Walk homepage on or before the morning of the event and communicate this change on our social media pages.
