Heather and I decided to participate with a friend and former colleague, Sally Mainquist, to walk to end Alzheimer's.
As many of you know, my father passed away a few years ago from Semantic Dementia at the young age of 69. Our family, especially his grand kids miss his humor and kindness every day. In addition, Heather's step-grandmother passed while fighting Alzheimer's and her grandmother in Austin, MN is currently battling this cruel disease.
We are walking with Team Veritae led by Sally. She is a tireless advocate for raising dollars to find treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's.
Many of you have helped us over the years raise thousands of dollars to fight Epilepsy. Travis and I still battle this every day. Our family continues to advocate daily and partner with the Epilepsy Foundation of MN to find a cure. This year we decided to expand our charitable giving in both time and money to include this fantastic organization, the Alzheimer's Association. We hope you will join us and contribute whatever dollar amount you are comfortable in honoring our dad/grandfather and Heather's grandmothers.
Thank you and cheers to family and friendships!
