Alzheimer's is not a normal part of the aging process, although the greatest risk factor is increasing age. I've lost one parent recently based on aging and other health conditions, but I've witnessed both health and Alzheimer's disease progressions that interfere with happiness in daily life. If you're blessed to have fairly good health and cognition, step up and help to make a difference. I'm asking you to donate for research and be a caregiver in this way for others, who knows - this may benefit you in years to come. Alzheimer's has touched our own family with its progression. In addition, we witness and provide support for individuals afflicted with or caring for the complexity of dementia (including Alzheimer's) with our Visiting Angels home care agency that my wife Terri and I own. Help us lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
