My amazing dad and "Baba" to my three kids, Elliott, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and he is actively participating in studies to help further research to help others. I am so proud of him and am inspired by all that he and my mom are doing to enjoy their lives together while also pushing for more support and understanding around Alzheimer's.
I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. There are 6 million Americans living with this disease, and over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating in the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. So that people like my father can participate in well-funded studies and ultimately help provide treatments and solutions for this terrible disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. My goal is to ride 200 miles during the August ALZ Classic Ride and hope that you can help support ALZ research as a part of the weekend! Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
