Memories Matter at PBA
Why We Ride: Each one of us has been affected by Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia by either caring for someone directly or supporting one of our amazing friends in their role as a caregiver or as someone who lost a loved one to this terrible disease. We know, based on years of research, that exercise and socialization are key factors to a better quality of life for caregivers and especially those living with some form of dementia. This wonderful group of riders from Plano Bicycle Association gathered together to combine our love of riding and socializing while raising much needed funds for research.
We are determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. We are inspired by the strength of the more than 5 million Americans living with this disease, and the 16 million family members and friends who provide them with care. We are also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why We are asking for your support. We are participating on the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile we ride, we are raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering us on.
