My mom, Louise "Weezie" Peterson, battled Alzheimer’s disease for over 15 years. She was a hardworking, strong, loving woman who unfortunately passed in October, 2018.
Weezie enjoyed her time with family and friends and especially found great joy spending time outdoors. She always pointed out how green the trees were, how beautiful the snow was and how majestic the mountains were. She loved everything that life had to offer.
It was difficult to watch as our mother slowly disappeared. After watching her struggle with Alzheimer's, my sister, Cathy, and I committed ourselves to fundraising for this important cause. Cathy, and I wanted to do something bigger than ourselves to help raise funds for Alzheimer's care and research.
Covid made organizing a fundraiser difficult this year but I still really wanted to do something to celebrate my mom and to help the Alzheimer's Association. This year I wanted to take on a task that would require strength- both physical and mental. I decided to do something exceptionally difficult and ride 100 miles in honor of the strong woman who was my mother.
Thank you for visiting my page and donating to this important cause.
