is fundraising to honor:
all those facing Alzheimer's
to fight Alzheimer's
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 6 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
During my time as a landscaper I have found myself often involved in the redevelopment of dementia gardens at private assisted living communities around the Metro Philadelphia, PA area. It's an honor and a pleasure improving gardens and shared outdoor spaces. Having access to multi-seasonal flower colors, soft foliage textures, fragrances and other horticultural yields greatly improve human wellbeing. Strengthening that connection for communities of all demographics is my "jam" and I'd like to share my insights with everyone wanting to learn!
On September 30th, 6pm (PST) I'll be hosting the second of quarterly "Nate Talks Plants". We will discuss and discover awesome Fall Color Plant Specimens that anyone can draw inspiration from, and utilize in their landscape.
