I am
having a Party
to fight Alzheimer's

My Story
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
The Steitz family is asking for your support with a donation, in honor of our mother, wife, nanna, sister, and dear friend, Carol Steitz. Carol was full of, joy, warmth, and love. All that were close to her got to experience her many amazing qualities. On January 7th, 2021, Heaven gained another Angel. Carol, passed away in her home after suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at the young age of 58.
Carol graduated from Lenape Regional High School in 1980. Shortly after graduation she met her husband Mark and moved to Vincentown, NJ where she raised two children. She later worked as a Medical Assistant for Burlington County Dermatology.
Carol was a kind, thoughtful woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved the outdoors. In the summer she frequented LBI and looked forward to an annual trip to the shore with her sisters and cousins. She also enjoyed her time visiting her in-laws in the Adirondack Mountains of Lake George, NY. She also enjoyed regular camping trips to Upper Black Eddy, PA where she and Mark shopped, visited wineries, and found the best restaurants and pubs. She loved her family dearly, often spending hours laughing with her siblings, and her parents at dinners and family get-togethers. Carol adored children. She loved to laugh and play with her nieces and nephews; and later her grandchildren. Music always made Carol smile and laugh. She loved to dance. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Carol is survived by her husband Mark and her two sons, Mark Jr., and Adam. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Dane, Alexander, William, and Xavier. Carol is also survived by a large extended family; including her sisters Cathy, Susan, Patty, and Nancy; and her brother Bobby.
She is predeceased by her loving mother and father Kathleen and Robert Anastasi.
May the Lord Almighty take her departed soul to her Heavenly Abode and give the entire family strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
This terrible disease has affected many of us and we want to come together with the local Alzheimer's community to make a difference. The money that we will raise goes directly back to our local community to help patients and caregivers through the Delaware Valley Alzheimer's Association.
All money raised will be donated in her name every June 20th, The Longest Day.
Thank you for your support.
