is fundraising to honor:
mother-in-law, Traudl Green
The Longest Day is the day of the year with the most light -- the Summer Solstice -- and it's the day where people all over the country hold fundraising events to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
I bicycled 55 miles on June 19, 2021, during last year's The Longest Day event and, sadly, my mother-in-law, Traudl Green, passed away from Alzheimer's Disease just 3 days later, on the day before her 79th birthday. My mother, Victoria, passed away from Vascular Dementia in 2015. It's in memory of these two lovely women that I will ride 50-some miles on one of my ancient French road bikes on June 18, 2022.
Many thanks to all of you who supported my fundraiser in 2021! Your generosity was the reason I was the top individual fundraiser in NC last year. The Alzheimer's Association needs your help again. Please consider making a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
