    The Ride to End ALZ New England takes place on Saturday, June 4, 2022 and starts and ends at Hampton Beach State Park in Hampton, New Hampshire.

    You must be 13 years of age to participate in the Ride to End ALZ New England.

    Register online at RidetoEndAlzheimers.org and start by clicking the "Register" button in the upper right hand corner of the page. You can register as an individual, join a team, or start your own team. Pick a route to ride - 100, 62, or 30 miles and if you can't join us in-person at Hampton Beach, you can ride with us virtually! All registered riders receive their own fundraising webpage to personalize to share with family and friends who wish to donate!

    Forming a Ride team is easy! Click the "Register" button in the upper right hand corner of the page, let us know if you've participated in an Alzheimer's Association event before, then click "Start a Team". If you are a returning participant, log in with your username and password, then choose to start a team. You will automatically become the Team Captain for the team you create. Next, ask your friends, family, and coworkers to join your team and the fight against Alzheimer's.

    Team captains are the heart of our events! As a team captain, you recruit your team of family, friends and coworkers, help them fundraise, keep them motivated, and have fun fighting for a great cause in the process. You will also have access to a team fundraising web page and numerous tools to make your team a success.

  • FUNDRAISING & DONATIONS:

    90% of the funds you raised go directly towards research for treatments and a cure, while the remaining 10% support our full mission.
  • cost registration fee
    Yes, there is a $50 registration fee for each in-person rider and a $25 registration fee for virtual riders. The registration fee is tax deductible and counts as a self donation toward your fundraising minimum and fundraising goal!
  • fundraising fundraise commitment minimum
    Each rider is responsible for raising a minimum of $500 to participate in the Ride. All in-person riders will receive an official 2022 Ride to End ALZ New England jersey, finisher's medal, bib number, pre-Ride light breakfast, post-Ride beach bash, and more! There will be opportunities to earn additional gear and prizes with increased fundraising. Please note that there is no fundraising commitment for virtual participants or volunteers, however we highly encourage you to set up a personal fundraising webpage and ask for donations! 90% of the funds you raise will go directly to Alzheimer's and dementia research!
  • when fundraising deadline
    Each rider is individually responsible for raising a $500 minimum (except for virtual riders and volunteers) by the final fundraising deadline of July 31, 2022. At that time, if you have not reached the $500 minimum, your credit card on file will be charged for the remaining balance. Please see our Participant Agreement & General Release/Waiver on the registration form for additional details.

    Donations can be made by check, online via credit card, or through a donor-advised fund. If you are donating through a donor-advised fund, please contact Anna Davidoff, Manager, Ride to End ALZ New England, at aydavidoff@alz.org.
  • team donation
    We do not allow team donations, however, all donations made to individual participants will be reflected in the overall team fundraising total.
  • jersey gear earn
    Answer: All registered in-person riders receive a jersey as part of their $500 fundraising minimum. Register by March 15, 2022 and your jersey will be mailed to you in advance of the Ride. If you register after March 15, 2022, you'll have two opportunities to pick up your jersey prior to Ride day.

    $500 earns registered virtual riders the official 2022 Ride to End ALZ New England Jersey. Virtual riders must raise $500 by March 15, 2022 to receive a jersey in the mail by June 2022. If you don't hit $500 by March 15th you have until the final fundraising deadline of July 31, 2022 and will receive your jersey in the fall.

    Yes! If you would prefer not to receive a jersey or other incentive prizes you have the ability to decline it. Please note, this cost savings does not count as a donation and will not be credited on your personal fundraising page.

  • ROUTE & LOGISTICS:

  • long length route
    Riders are able to choose from multiple distance options - 30 miles, 62 miles, and 100 miles. Visit our Routes page to find the course that's right for you! If you are unable to join us at Hampton Beach State Park on Ride day, you can always ride with us virtually!

    Large directional signs will be staked in the ground at all intersections. Each of the 3 distances will be clearly marked on the roads with bright orange spray chalk. Cue sheets will be available at the Registration and Packet Pick Up tent. We recommend downloading the "Ride with GPS" app on your smartphone. Free cue sheets and maps for each course are available, search for "Ride to End ALZ New England". For a small fee you can get turn by turn navigation for the course of your choice as well. (This is a great app that we highly recommend!) Multiple Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles with radio operators will be on the courses at all times, be on the lookout for them. If you get lost, call the emergency number on the wristband provided, we will find you and get you back on course.

    No! We have a variety of rider routes to accommodate your experience level.

    Our Ride is a fully supported event! You can expect:
    - Medical support
    - Bike tech support
    - Large directional signs at all intersections
    - All routes to be clearly marked on the roads with bright orange spray chalk
    - Printed cue sheets at the Registration and Packet Pick Up tent
    - Free downloadable cue sheets and maps for each course on Ride with GPS (for a small fee you can get turn by turn navigation for the course of your choice as well)
    - Multiple Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles on all courses with radio operators
    - A wristband with emergency contact information should you get lost - we'll find you and get you back on course
    - Pit stops with water, Gatorade, fruit, energy bars, sandwiches, sweet and salty snacks, porta-potties, bike racks, and much more!

    Yes! When you return from your ride please stay and join us for a BBQ lunch and a drink at our Beer Tent all while enjoying live music on the water!
  • hurt injured medical safety emergency
    There are SAG vehicles covering the route from start to finish, monitoring your progress, and ensuring your safety. You will also be issued a wristband with an emergency phone number to call if you need help.
  • clothes personal items store bag check
    There will not be a bag check available as the parking lot is right next to the start/finish line. We encourage riders to leave their clothes and personal belongings in their locked cars.
  • day of registration
    YES!!! If you or your friend plans on registering the day of the Ride, please arrive one hour ahead of the appropriate start time in order to park, register, and get to the start line on time!
  • distance change
    Yes. If you need to change your distance, you can do so up until the day of the Ride. Please arrive one hour before your distance start time to change your route.
  • cancel
    Please notify Anna Davidoff, Ride Manager, immediately at aydavidoff@alz.org or 617-393-2047, if you know you can't participate.
  • tech fix mechanic
    Yes. We have bike techs available at the start of each course if your bike needs a quick fix or adjustment. Please prepare your bike in advance and show up road ready! Bike techs will also be available at Pit Stops.
  • parking park
    On-site parking is $15 per vehicle. There is ample parking adjacent to the start/finish area where we will have parking volunteers on-site to direct you.
  • shower change clothes
    Yes there are restrooms where you can change! Unfortunately the showers on-site are in the process of being renovated and will not be ready for Ride day. Feel free to bring a bathing suit and take a dip in the ocean!
  • beer finish line
    There will be a beer ticket attached to your bib. You will need a valid ID in order to be served. No exceptions per state law.
