This session
will feature several internationally known speakers followed by a panel
discussion regarding next steps for moving the field forward. The PIA on Down
syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease has focused their efforts on establishing an
international network of researchers to develop a well characterized biobank of
tissues and cognitive/MRI datasets from subjects with DS and AD, as well as
developing more appropriate animal models.
