2024 Dancing Stars of Columbus

Each year, as a committee, we carefully search for judges with the goal of providing a quality panel to oversee the scoring process of Dancing Stars of Columbus. The dedicated Stars and Pros in our cast work incredibly hard to accomplish the level of performance shown each year and we treat the scoring process with the utmost respect and integrity.

This year, we will have 5 judges on the panel:

Judge 1 - Technical Judge
Judge 2 - Technical Judge
Judge 3 - Technical Judge
Judge 4 - Past Star
Judge 5 - Celebrity Judge

The scoring is based on two categories : Technical and Entertainment

Judges can give up to 5 points for each category, with a total combined score available to each performance of 10 points.

These scores are given by ballet, collected, and audited by two program directors backstage. Once the scores are calculated and verified by two programmers, a combined score for the performance is logged into a group file and sent to the AV team. An envelope is filled out and sent to the Emcees.

The Hosts will announce the combined score of all judges while the AV puts the score on the main event screens for the audience to see.

Judges for this year’s event will be announced closer to the event date.
