Washburn Challenge 2

The Washburn Challenge has raised over $700,000 since it began in 2017. Last year we were ranked as the #5 Longest Day event in the country, raising $166,861! Register today and get started on your fundraising early! We ask each person set a $1,000 goal so together we can continute to make a significant impact and reach our goal of $200,000 to fight this horrible disease. As with every Washburn Challenge, every dollar raised goes directly to the Alzheimer’s Association to fund their mission. Let's go!!!

The Washburn Challenge is part of The Longest Day, a signature fundraising event of the Alzheimer’s Association, to support the pursuit of legislative initiatives on behalf of those affected, invest in research to find a cure, draw attention to Alzheimer's and dementia, and provide support to those afflicted by this disease as well as their caregivers. We are so grateful for this community and the continued enthusiasm and support of the Washburn Challenge. So many loves ones have been affected, but hope is on the horizon, primarily because of organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association. We are now in - The Age of Treatment. Like Cancer decades ago, there is hope, but much work to be done. Substantial progress is being made. There are more treatments now — and more promising treatments in the pipeline than ever before. This is a pivotal time for the Alzheimer's Association. THANK YOU for your participation and support!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

OPTION 1: REGISTER & FUNDRAISE

The best kickoff to summer is participating in the Washburn Challenge! Register for the bike ride and/or the kayaking! Set a fundraising goal of $1,000 and do everything you can to reach it. Each participant receives a t-shirt and cooling towel, and of course, free entry to the Washburn Challenge Fundraiser Celebration!

Step 1: REGISTER

Start a team, join a team, sign up as an individual.
(Note: when starting a team and prompted to "name your fundraiser" this is where you create your own unique TEAM name, anything you want, ex: Waquoit Whalers!)

Step 2: CUSTOMIZE YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

Share why you participate, add a picture and create a custom link! Those who personalize their page raise 50% more than those who don’t!

Step 3: SHARE! SHARE! SHARE!

Share your custom link via emails, texts and social media. Ask your network to join your team and help fundraise or make a donation! Be proud of what you’re doing, it’s not easy to ride 20 miles followed by a 7 mile kayak trip! So many people have a connection to Alzheimer’s that you don’t know about. You will be amazed at how quickly and easily you can raise $1,000 by just telling people about your participation in the Washburn Challenge!

OPTION 2: DONATE

Our goal is to raise $200,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association!  If you are not fundraising and participating in the challenge please make a donation to help us reach our goal. The Washburn Challenge Fundraiser Celebration is for participants and donors only.
