Many members of our Rotary Club have direct experiences with family, friends, and colleagues that have suffered from Alzheimer's and dementia. It is so difficult and heartbreaking to watch someone you care about go through all the debilitating effects. Please support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Pre-registration for the walk is required. To register under our Rotary Club of San Francisco's Team, go here: http://act.alz.org/goto/SF2
Follow the instructions on the website to either join the walk or to donate. Each participant should register themselves so they can accept the terms of the liability waiver and provide a valid email address where they can receive details about the event.
If walking, please arrive on Saturday, October 19, 2024 by 8:30 AM to check in at Pier 27 located at 27 The Embarcadero, San Francisco. Pier 27 is where Chestnut, Battery, and Lombard Streets intersect with The Embarcadero. Past Club President Mary Liu will meet you by the Rotary tent.
Wear your neon yellow Rotary SF vests to show our Rotary spirit.
After the walk, come join us for drinks and lunch at a nearby restaurant. Lunch bill is on your own. Please Email Mary if you plan to join us for lunch so we can make appropriate seating arrangements.
Schedule is as follows:
8:30 am - Arrive and meet at the Rotary tent.
9:00 am - Take a group photo at the Rotary booth.
9:45 am - Ceremony
10:00 am - Walk Starts
Noon - Drinks and Lunch with our Club members. Must RSVP to Mary Liu.
