A Tribute to Our Superman

Henry Earl Marion was born in Hillsboro, MS on April 18, 1929. He was the 12th of 13 children born to Walter Marion, Sr. and Ann Hughes. Henry first began having symptoms of Alzheimers in 2005 and died at 90 years of age on October 17, 2019, after a courageous battle with this disease.

Though Henry only had a 7th grade education - his grit, determination and perseverance led him to become a very successful entrepreneur. He created DeMarion, Inc., a janitorial and mechanical maintenance company, that covered 8 states and had over 700 employees. He also owned several apartment complexes, houses, a restaurant, grocery store, and many other businesses.

Henry was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 60 years and served as an elder in the local congregation in Marshall, TX. He has 6 children: Ann, Joyce, Freddie, David, Diane and Denice. He was married to Delores Marion, the mother of his youngest 3 children, for 59 years.

Henry impacted thousands of lives by giving people jobs and helping them start their own businesses. He set the proper example of how to be a man of character with principles, morals, and values and will be greatly missed.
