Frank M Caldwell, 80 of Mesa, AZ formally of Peoria & Chillicothe, IL died at 3:45pm Monday, May 7, 2012, peacefully at home by his wife’s side. He was born on December 16, 1931 in Royalton, IL to Frank and Winnie Karr Caldwell. He married Bette Sewards January 1952 in Chillicothe, IL. She survives. He later married Lois Henson on April 24, 1970 in Peoria, IL. She also survives. Frank will be missed by his daughter Connie (Kim) Nagel of Lacon, IL, son Greg (Scott) Caldwell of North Port, FL, stepdaughter Linda (Ed) Jatkowski of Peoria, IL, stepson Rick Henson of Mesa, AZ, granddaughters Ginger (Kevin) Benz, Brandy (Shawn Beck) Scheffert, step granddaughters Rachel (Kevin) Davis, Stephenie (Chris) Bills, step grandson Eddie (Ellen) Jatkowski, six great grandchildren, brother Robert Caldwell and sisters, Estelle Shelton and Irene Sanders. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. He retired from Caterpillar in 1982 and moved to Mesa for retirement where Lois and he sold Real Estate. He lived life to the fullest, would help a stranger on the side of the road, was a joke teller, worldwide traveler and loved tinkering in the garage. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jackie Marfori, his caregiver and friend in his final days.
