Lynn P. Reichhold was born on February 18, 1931 outside Scranton, PA. Christened as Marilyn Anne Peck, she was the only child of Mary Ellen Homan Peck and William "Bill" Henry Peck. She grew up among numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. As a young woman she lived and worked in Washington, DC. In 1954 she relocated to Livermore, CA. There, she met and married Ralph E. Reichhold, her husband of nearly 55 years. In 1957 they moved with their infant daughter Lori Ellen, to Santa Clara, CA. In 1958 their second child Amy Lynn was born, and their third daughter Edie Anne was delivered in 1962. Lynn lived a busy life as a Homemaker, and when her girls started school, she began volunteering with the PTA. Her interest in education and child welfare advocacy eventually lead to a seat on the Santa Clara Unified School Board with multiple terms as President, where she proudly and passionately served for 17 years.
In 1983 Lynn became a grandmother to Sara Anne Arola, then in 1987 her grandson Steven William Arola was born, followed by her third grandchild Kara Jeanne Arola in 1989. Lynn was always available for her family, and enjoyed caring for her three grandchildren whenever she was needed, as well as spending many hours clapping, cheering, and chauffeuring to various sporting events, lessons, and recitals.
Lynn was an avid sports fan, and her daughters often teased her about their "adopted brothers" Joe Montana, Michael Jordan, and in later years after she began golfing -- her "honorary grandson" Tiger Woods! Lynn enjoyed a full and active life well into her seventies. She frequently drove 200 miles, and spent weeks at a time providing care and support for her youngest daughter who was disabled by illness, right up until her own illness rendered her unable to make the trip.

Lynn will be acutely missed by those who loved her, and her family is grateful that her journey with Alzheimer's was relatively quick. Early in the morning of February 15, 2010 just as the sun was rising in the Eastern sky, three days before her 79th birthday her soul reached for the light, and she took her last breath. A small group of family and friends, who still carry her Memories, will honor her with a Memorial at Sea, where her ashes will be forever embraced by the salty tears of a restless ocean.

Lynn is survived by her husband Ralph Reichhold of Santa Clara. Her daughter Lori Arola of Santa Clara, and her granddaughter Sara Arola of Houston, TX. Her daughter and son in law, Amy and Mark Arola, of Pleasanton, her grandson Steve Arola, a senior at CSU Fresno, and her granddaughter Kara Arola, a junior at CSU Chico. Her daughter Edie Vance of Chico.
