Mom and Dad at Point Roberts August 2014

Point Roberts is a tiny strip of peninsula that is US territory that is just south of the Canada-US border. The bay is called Boundary Bay. Canadians summer there, and this is where Mom and Dad met. They still have a cabin there and this was a lovely evening dinner out that my family enjoyed with them a couple summers ago.

Murphy was a rescue dog that Mom and Dad adopted recently. He has been a great companion for both of them. Rarely leaves Mom's side- a canine blessing!

Dad was hired right out of high school at an engineering firm in Vancouver. He was a gifted young draftsman, and quickly rose in this industry.

Mom and Dad were married on June 10, 1961

This year would have been their 55th wedding anniversary. A couple who have build a wonderful legacy together through commitment, perseverance and love.
