Arthur Mertens

Arthur Mertens was a caring and compassionate man. He served his country in the Navy and then the Marines as a medic. After the Korean War he became a Trappist Monk for 10 years. When he left the monastery he moved to Oklahoma and and lead a simple life of serving the poor and later serving our Vets and the VA Hospital as a LPN.
