Dad's youngest sibling 'Babe' is no longer with us.
Soria Generations...
Dad’s short-term memory had been in decline for sometime by the time this photo was taken. He is pictured here with three of his siblings and their sons including my brother. The four elders are no longer with us. Alzheimer's is said to mutate, possibly skipping a generation or more. But is relentless in its quest to inflict entire generations like in the case of my father's family and will inevitably return in generations to come…
"The Long Good-bye"...
Mom, with Uncle Bill visiting Dad in a Nursing-home. Seeing Dad in this facility left me paralyzed with unbearable sadness... There were never any 'good' days for him there and he always asked me to take him home when I visited. This was near the end of the "long good-bye" for my father. He passed away less then 6 months after this photo was taken...
