Team LOVE & MOXiE - Life is short, live with moxie!
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Hi, I'm Danielle! After my mom, Reneé, was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's disease and we became roommates, we were determined to live life to the fullest on our own terms. We upended our lives; I left my 15+ year career in law enforcement and we moved from NYC to Savannah, GA. LOVE & MOXiE was born from our desire to raise Alzheimer's awareness while enjoying time together doing the things we love like creating. Fusing mom's love of color and texture and my love of organization and all things sparkly, together we create and sell fun & functional accessories that invoke smiles. We hope to inspire others living with Alzheimer's through our story and donate a portion of every sale to Alzheimer's Charities.
My mom is my biggest inspiration; without her infectious positive spirit, take it as is comes and have some fun attitude, and willingness to try anything (or at least be talked into it), we would have never embarked on this new journey.
Hello, I'm Renee! Without knowing what was wrong, some years ago I withdrew from life. After being diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's disease, finally knowing what was wrong, I started living. I learned to live in the moment. It has been a process. I learned more about the disease, joined a support group through the Alzheimer's Association, began meditating, and became an active member of our local senior centers. I dove into the activities the centers provided, things I had not done before, like attending art lectures, sculpting, painting, Tai Chi, line dancing, synchronized swimming, among others. Having never been a part of my life, these activities are my greatest gifts. I am enjoying this new adventure that is LOVE & MOXiE with my daughter - creating and spending time together has brought our lives closer and meaningful in a beautiful way.
Over 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. Together we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation or join our team to advance the care, support, & research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
