2025 Co-Chair Susan Been

Susan Been became involved with the Alzheimer’s Association after her Mother, Carolyn, passed away from this life-robing disease in 2021. Susan participated in the 2024 Dancing Stars of Atlanta and was the People’s Choice Winner by raising a record-breaking $452,000. She surprised herself with a runner-up in the Judges Choice Award because she realized that dancing was not one of her strengths! The entire experience was life-changing and "one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had,” said Been. Susan Been founded Wilson Parker Homes in 2009. Wilson Parker Homes, a private home building company, was headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with divisions in Phoenix, AZ, Augusta, GA, Raleigh, NC, and Columbia, SC. Wilson Parker Homes was purchased by DR Horton in 2016. Susan has served on various boards, including the Atlanta Women's Foundation, Make A Wish GA, Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, and the UGA, Odum School of Ecology. Susan has chaired many events in Atlanta, including the Make A Wish GA Wish Ball, Atlanta Botanical Garden of Eden Ball, Atlanta Women's Foundation Numbers Luncheon with Madeleine Albright, and most recently, NBAF, Fine Art + Fashion. She most recently joined the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of GA, JHiFF in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the Board of Trustees, Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, NY. Susan has two wonderful children, the most important people in her life. Katherine is currently in Graduate School at Columbia University, and Wils is a Senior at The University of Alabama..
