Fundraising Honor Roll

On May 6, I will dance at the 2023 Memory Ball to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association’s Greater Maryland chapter. I am dancing for all of us, to contribute in whatever small way I can to raise money for Alzheimer's care and research. Over the next four months I will be training alongside a professional dancer in commitment toward raising funds for Alzeihmer’s care, research and awareness.

I never thought I would be telling people about my future performance in a dance competition. When I was first asked to participate my initial thoughts were along the lines of “oh my gosh” and “oh dear.” But, once I found out that moving my dance routine from the living room to the ballroom could help raise money to end this disease, I knew I had to try.

Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimers and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Over the past 40 years, the Alzheimer's Association has led the way in care, support and research in pursuit of a world without Alzeihmers and all other forms of dementia. I’m dancing to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in this event, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research care and support that have the potential to change the course of this disease.

Last year, with the support of the Baltimore community, participants raised over $775,000 for our Maryland chapter. With your help, I’m hoping that we can match or even exceed this number in 2023! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer’s Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzeihmer’s. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.

Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer’s starts here.
