Zachary Atwell's Ride To End ALZ Fundraising Page
On Saturday June 22nd, I will be riding my bicycle 62 miles (a metric century) to raise money for Alzheimer’s Disease by participating in the 2019 Ride to End Alzheimer’s in Rye, NH, organized by the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter. This will be my fifth time riding in the Ride to End Alzheimer’s.
This is a cause that is very important to me as several of my relatives have suffered from Alzheimer’s. My maternal aunt is currently suffering from advanced early-onset Alzheimer’s. My maternal grandmother who passed away in September 2014 was suffering from Alzheimer’s at the time of her death. My paternal grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer’s-like dementia at the time of her death in 2009.
This is a disease that affects not just those who are afflicted with the disease, but their surrounding family and loved ones as well.
Proceeds go directly to improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s through the advancement of research and by providing care to those affected in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
All donations are tax deductible. The Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter’s tax ID or EIN number is 04-2731194. http://www.alzmassnh.org/tea/donate/
To those who have already pledged a donation, thank you for your support.
Thank you and have a great summer.
By participating in the RIDE to End Alzheimer's, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
