2023 Alzheimer's Association Memory Ball Dancing Stars

Hi friends! I’ve made an important decision and I’d like to share it with you. In six months, on May 6, 2023, I will be competing as a “Dancing Star” in the 2023 Alzheimer’s Association Memory Ball in Baltimore. The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Ball is held in order to raise critical funds necessary to help care for men and women suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and dementia. This organization is also focused on searching for a cure to this terrible disease that strikes 1.7% of all Americans, or about six million new cases per year.

This terrible disease has also affected me personally. Four years ago, I watched my grandmother slip into the clutches of dementia. The memories that I have of her during her last years are nothing like what I remember of her while I was growing up. I try to focus on all of the great years that my family and I had with her, prior to her diagnosis. It is truly a tragic condition and one that I’ve chosen to help fight.

To do this, I need your help. I am going to compete in this event and dance for my grandmother and the millions of men and women that suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia. In order to help me with this cause, please take time to vote for me, or purchase tickets to the event. Your help will directly support the Alzheimer’s Association and advance research into the prevention, treatments, and even a future cure for the disease.

I grew up dancing. It was one of my favorite things to do as a child. As some of you may know, I still love to dance! I haven’t danced like this in a few years, and it will take a lot of practice and hard work to truly compete, but if you decide to donate, please know that every dollar that you give is a chance to make a huge difference! Your donations will also count as a vote for me in the dance competition held at the Memory Ball in May.
