My name is Kimberly Rhee Spitz, and participating in this event is an honor. Getting here however was a complete surprise. I was having dinner with a friend who was recounting the efforts made by her family to spend precious moments with her father after finding out he had Alzheimer’s. Before I could even swallow my food, I was overwhelmed. She was describing a circumstance that I knew too well. As my eyes watered, I could see she understood the source of my emotion. When she called upon me to join in raising funds and awareness for this cause, the instance felt fateful, and I could not say no. 

I am dancing for my father. I am dancing for all the families touched by Alzheimer’s. I am dancing for all the caregivers, loved ones and professionals, who help take care of the more than 6 million Americans who have Alzheimer’s today. Please join me in our efforts to end Alzheimer’s and consider making a donation to this worthy cause.
