Kendall Mealy was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. An army brat, she moved around her entire life, living from Texas to Germany, and all over the country. Kendall earned a bachelor’s in government from the University of Virginia in 2011, and a master’s in public administration from Penn State in 2017. Kendall works for a DC- based non-profit, the Physician Assistant Education Association. There, she provides leadership coaching and training for PA students, PA Faculty, and staff across the country.
Kendall has two kids, 5-year-old Sloane, and 2- year- old Hayes, and currently lives in Fort Benning, GA. Her husband is a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Her hobbies include Crossfit, spending time with her kids, and starting (but never finishing!) books.
Kendall was first impacted by dementia, when her great grandfather battled the disease. Watching the slow and painful manifestation of the disease remains a vivid memory and part of her adolescence. She reflects the impact it had on her family, namely her grandmother.
Dancing with the Stars is the perfect opportunity to support the community and contribute to a greater cause, all while balancing learning a new skill. Participation in this event couples Kendall’s investment in service and commitment to others, with her love for a challenge! Whether balancing the demands of motherhood during a deployment, navigating career stability during military transitions, or trying to perfect a skill in Crossfit, Kendall continually finds ways to push, and invest in herself.
Kendall is outgoing by nature, and loves to have a good time. Regardless of the outcome of this event, Kendall is committed to raising awareness for Alzheimer’s, while having the best time. Here we go!
