My name is Amanda Baker and I was born right here in Columbus GA. My husband Bobby and I were raised in Columbus and we are proud to raise our three children here as well. I am a ’97 Brookstone Graduate, attended Presbyterian College for my undergraduate degree and Auburn for graduate work...but rest assured I am a Dawg fan. As the Senior Consultant/Physician Outreach for Piedmont Columbus Regional, I love introducing specialists to the primary care community and building relationships with providers throughout the entire region.
My hobbies and interests have transitioned over the last several years to dance mom, soccer mom, little league fan and carpooler of lots of sports…but when I do have some time… I grow a garden, cook with fresh spices and veggies and jam out in my kitchen with some uptown funk on the radio.
I really love to dance! It’s in my blood. I discovered it when I was five taking ballet and tap, and it’s how my husband and I met…on the dance floor at a wedding. I decided to dance for Dancing Stars of Columbus to support close friends who have a parent suffering from Alzheimer’s. This disease not only strips a patient’s memory, but memories to be made with daughters, grandsons and others. Please cast your vote for my participation for this fun and exciting way to make memories in order to help others preserve theirs.
