My name is Carson Jones. I am currently a Tennis Professional at Idle Hour Country Club. I was born in Rome, Georgia where I spent most of my childhood and then moved to Macon after my 6th grade year. In Macon, I went to Tattnall Square Academy until my junior year and then graduated from Veritas Classical Schools. I received a tennis scholarship to play at Georgia Southern University. At Georgia Southern, I also was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order.
After school, I continued my passion for tennis in attaining my USPTA certification as a Tennis Professional. I have been teaching tennis for the past 4 years where I have spent most of my time at Idle Hour Country Club. I did spend one year teaching at the Cloister on Sea Island, but returned to my hometown just this past year where I hope to stay.
I currently have two grandmothers that are struggling with this disease. I couldn’t feel more honored after being asked to dance in this year’s event. I have always loved to dance, and it has never mattered who is watching. I can’t wait to use that same passion in raising money to help those I love along with others who are hurting from this disease that is affecting the lives of so many.
