is fundraising to honor:
In the Summer of 2016 I lost my beloved Grandmother to Alzheimer's. I ended up missing her funeral because I was too consumed by work and professional ambitions.
So, when Winter rolled around, I embarked on a journey around the NW part of the United States and parts of Europe to go snowboarding. It was a sort of Walkabout to realign my life priorities.
In the process, I raised money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association through their second signature fundraiser called THE LONGEST DAY.
June 21st (Summer Solstice or literally the longest day of the year) is the official date of The Longest Day. A day in which we honor caregivers for which EVERY day is THE LONGEST DAY!
I participated in The Longest Day again for the 2017/2018 ski season and added an addtional activity of Yoga as I am a Yoga teacher as well.
This year, again, I will be participating in the Longest Day. For 2019, the main focus and activity will be yoga. Please be on the lookout for events in the next couple months.
