My mother is why I walk for Alzheimer’s. She lost her battle with ALZ on Mother's Day 2020 after fighting for 10 long years. She lived in a memory care facility for the last 5 years of her life. We lost her a little bit at a time every day.
Alzheimer’s runs in our family. Her grandmother and uncle had the disease and there is high probability that my children, nephew, niece, brother, and I could be at risk. I'm walking for Mom, I'm walking for my family, and I'm walking for a day that this disease is a thing of the past.
Thank you sincerely for your help and support.
