Fundraising Progress

My Story
I've participated in the Longest Day events since 2010. That year, I lost my wonderful mother to complications from this horrible disease. She and both her sisters suffered with Alzheimer's. Their struggles were devastating. As I've shared my story, I'm amazed by how many people have had friends and relatives affected by this disease. Over 5 million Americans are currently diagnosed with Alzheimer's - 1 in every 10 people over 65 years - 2/3 of who are women! Through discussions with several friends who are neurologists, I'm encouraged by all the progress that has been made with Alzheimer's. Through donations, we are very close to prevention, delay and even a cure. I have been so appreciative of family and friends who have supported the quest for a cure. I hope 2020 continues to be another year of medical progress.
