Our Team Story
Our Dad Larry was diagnosed with moderate cognitive impairment in 2016 and officially diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2017. In that time he has lost most of his motor skills and requires our mother, his main caregiver, to do all daily tasks for him. It happened really fast and we were not always prepared for the sudden changes that were happening but we continue to stick together as a family for him and all other persons diagnosed with Alzheimer's and all other dementia's.
Larry's Day not only is major fundraiser for our team but also gives us the opportunity to honor our father, who raised us to appreciate good music and supporting the local music in Hampton Roads. Growing up, we never had babysitters and were always in tow with our parents going to concerts and festivals.
Our second annual Larry's Day will be held at STUFT Restaurant at 24 N Mallory St. in Hampton on April 18th 2020 from 12-8pm. We shut down the back parking lot, put up a stage with 6 bands with beer and liquor vendors, STUFT Food Truck and a "Kid's Corner" with arts and crafts.
We not only fight for our Dad but we fight to find a cure for Alzheimer's and all other dementia's! Come join us on 4/18 for one hell of a party for one hell of a cause. A $10 Donation prior to the event and a $15 Donation day of the event get you in to the party! Spread the word, friends!!!
