Alzheimer's has affected my family in an intimate way. My mother was diagnosed with dementia in the summer of 2013. She has been in the mid to late stages of the disease for the last several years and finally lost her battle in September of 2020. Visits to the memory care unit at the nursing home became 50/50 as to if she would recognize me upon seeing me and if she did, for how long into our visit it would fade. I'll be walking for the fourth year in a row this September to help raise money to fight this disease that's taken years of moments from our family. More than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Please, would you consider helping me make sure other families won't have to watch their loved ones deteriorate before them.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
