1,621 is 1,621 is too many, more days than anyone should have to suffer from this horrible, awful, no good, very bad disease. It takes away who they are. It takes away memories. It effing sucks.
If it wasn't for the Alzheimer’s Association, my mom would have had a much harder time taking care of my dad. She was able to see the struggles, understand the changes and what to say and do in certain situations. Did you know if there is "an wanted person in your house" and you "ask them to leave" and "walk them outside" your loved one will be calmer and happy "they" are gone. Arguing with them about this invisible person they KNOW is in your house is a no win situation. How did I learn this? The Alzheimer’s Association!
