Over the years since the passing of Ruth Washington, my grandmother, so many things that she would say and do have inspired me. I walk to honor all that she did and feel closer to her with each step. She taught us all to fight the good fight and make the world a better place daily. I believe that if we all do things together we can " Paint Howard County Purple" and find the first survivor.
I woke up early one morning and truly decided that I was going to just start a team of people stepping in a direction to find a cure, raise awareness, and promote healing for everyone that has been impacted by Alzheimer's.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I believe that " Every Step Counts" so please take the time to make a step in the right direction! Support the team in every way you can! Donate and come out and walk with me! Let's show Alzheimer's that we are taking steps and Every Step Counts!
